I've tried to stand my ground
I've tried to understand
But I can't seem to find
My faith again
Like water on the sand
Or grasping at the wind
I keep on falling short
So please be my strength
Please be my strength
'Cause I don't have any more
I don't have any more
I'm looking for a place
Where I can plant my faith
One thing I know for sure
I cannot create it
And I cannot sustain it
It's Your love
That's keeping me
Please be my strength
Please be my strength
I don't have any more
I don't have any more
And at my final breath
I hope that I can say
I fought the good fight
Of faith
I pray your glory shines
This doubting heart of mine
And all would know that You
You are my strength
You are my strength
You and You alone
You keep bringing me back home
Oh, You are my strength
You are my strength
You and You alone
Keep bringing me back home
It's You and You alone
Bringing me back home
I've tried to understand
But I can't seem to find
My faith again
Like water on the sand
Or grasping at the wind
I keep on falling short
So please be my strength
Please be my strength
'Cause I don't have any more
I don't have any more
I'm looking for a place
Where I can plant my faith
One thing I know for sure
I cannot create it
And I cannot sustain it
It's Your love
That's keeping me
Please be my strength
Please be my strength
I don't have any more
I don't have any more
And at my final breath
I hope that I can say
I fought the good fight
Of faith
I pray your glory shines
This doubting heart of mine
And all would know that You
You are my strength
You are my strength
You and You alone
You keep bringing me back home
Oh, You are my strength
You are my strength
You and You alone
Keep bringing me back home
It's You and You alone
Bringing me back home

This song has really resonated with me, especially today. Just when I think I’ve turned a corner or reached a new summit, I have the rug pulled out from under me. These past two weeks have really brought about change. Change like woah. I am finally getting to where I need to be. I’m nowhere close, but I am moving in the right direction. I have done Bible study more diligently and habitually than ever before. I have listened to sound teaching from Francis Chan, David Platt, and Jud Wilhite. I have sought advice from Christian women who are wiser than I. I have prayed with diligence and expectation. And, I have slowly started letting go of my dreams and realigning myself with God’s dreams. Because, guess what? His are bigger and better and more fulfilling. And guess what else? I am terrified and excited all at the same time. I don’t know what to do with myself. I am trusting God more fully than ever before in my life, and at the same time, everything is turning upside down. I am about to make some big changes, and I’m scared. I’m scared of the outcome, scared of failure, and scared of change. But what I am learning is that God didn’t call me to be safe. And I am learning to rest in His wisdom and provision and guidance. It’s hard, but I’m getting better at it.
