Faithful

J and I were talking the other night about our story.  About our first year of marriage, and how crazy it was, how much happened, and how we hit very deep lows and very high highs.  We talked about how some people sail through with rainbows and unicorn farts, and you wonder if they are really as perfect as they seem, and if anything bad every happens to them.

And then you have people like us.  People who fought tooth and nail to see the other side.  Not that it was a bad year, or that we almost didn't make it, or anything like that.  Our marriage is solid, and we love each other very much.  But we lived in a very real spiritual warfare.  And so, J made the offhand comment that we should write it down.  That we should remember these stories and tell them to our children.  That we should reflect on them when times get hard, and remember where we came from.  To see, tangibly, how God is faithful.

Some things are too personal to be spoken here.  We walked some tough roads, that are still private for us.  Some of which, we are still processing.  One day, we will share all our stories, in the hopes that we can help other people walking those same desolate roads.  We want to show them that there is life and freedom and joy on the other side.

Other stories, you may already know.  Some we have broadcast, out of the sheer audacity of how God worked in the situation.  Still others, we meant to share, but never did.  And so, I want to record those things here.  To leave a legacy for ourselves and our children.  To be an inspiration to others who may feel discouraged, or stuck, or hopeless.

Our God is faithful!!  You can trust Him!!

As I have time, and as the muse strikes me, I will start recording them here.
